Workshop One: Social Media for Brands, PR & Best Practices Digital media has radically impacted the public relations and corporate communications fields, which has led to an acute need for PR professionals and communicators to understand the emerging digital channels. This workshop provides a primer on strategies for brands and organizations to utilize these digital (social) media channels, tools to monitor activity, responding to feedback and what you need to institute a digital reputation management function within your organization. Suitable for: * Public Relations Professionals (PR agencies) * Marketing Communications Heads (Clients) * Digital Media Heads of traditional media (staff from newspapers, magazines, TV and radio stations).
Workshop Two: Online Marketing - Forward to Basics Understand the basics of creating a successful online media campaign, utilizing a variety of options such as premium portals, advertising networks, social media and search advertising. Topics covered include online audience targeting and segmentation, costs and pricing models of online media, communications options (banners, mailshots, newsletters, sponsorships... etc), social media advertising and basic search engine marketing (SEM) training. Completing the workshop will be information regarding online media monitoring, which is a necessary component for planning campaigns and measuring performance. Khaled moved to Jordan back in 2009 after spending close to 20 years in the U.S, with a masters in management and a passion for social media. Khaled started a few viral Twitter hashtags like #Top50JO & #ReformJO, published a couple of infographs on social media that were posted on Mashable.com and wrote an article about the top 100 influential Arabs on twitter.Khaled is very well involved in connecting brands to their customers online, and is a consultant and a trainer for many prominent brands in Jordan, some of which are the British Embassy, Foreign Ministry, Jordan River Foundation, Tkiyet Em Ali, CNBC Arabia, AD Pro Communications, MEPI and the Bahrain E-Gov Forum 2011 & 2012. Elias is the founder of The Media Supermarket, an online marketing agency based in Dubai. Currently, he manages the online marketing of several leading regional and global brands.
