Zeid Nasser, is Managing Director of MediaScope and Founder of mediaME.com, the Middle East's first and largest online community of advertising and media professionals with over 13,000 members. MediaScope is a pioneering media marketing, publishing and event organizing company with business activities in Jordan and UAE. Zeid is the Chairperson of the mediaME Forum:2011.
Zeid is a well-known media and technology commentator, and a regular conference speaker and panelist who also served as Secretary General of IAA Jordan for four terms.

Isam Bayazidi, Chief Executive Officer - ikoo

Isam Bayazidi is the Chief Executive Officer of ikoo, the largest online advertising network in Middle East and North Africa. Prior to moving to ikoo, Isam was in Maktoob Group, house of the largest Arab online community. While in Maktoob, Isam initiated and lead Araby.com, the Arabic Search Engine company, as well as being the Product Director for Maktoob.com where he worked on several projects and initiatives. Isam holds a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science from Al AlBayt University in Jordan, and is an MBA Student at Warwick Business School in UK. He has great passion for technology, Internet, gadgets and all things digital. Isam has been a speaker in a number of events speaking on Open Source and Open Content projects, as well a volunteer contributor and a leader in some of the open source projects such as Wikipedia and Arabeyes. 

Rania Salfiti, Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications - Umniah

Rania Salfiti, has been working in the Communications industry for more than 14 years and has expertise in different areas of marketing and corporate communications. Rania Salfiti is currently the Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications at Umniah, the latest telecom operator to enter the Jordanian telecommunications market. Salfiti successfully led the launch of Umniah through an award winning campaign which led to the instant recognition of Umniah’s brand and established it as one of Jordan’s strongest and fastest growing brands in Jordan. She is also credited for the strategic planning development and implementation of a complete communications strategy which includes brand management, commercial campaigns, Corporate Social Responsibility strategies, corporate communications, direct marketing strategies, digital and social media.
Prior to joining Umniah, Salfiti spent 8 years within the advertising and communications field in Jordan, where she initially managed her own advertising business; providing creative and tailor-made communications solutions to various reputable local brands, in addition to acting as a Creative Director for several advertising agencies and design consultants in Jordan. Rania Salfiti completed her studies in the U.S. and holds a Bachelors degree in Graphic Arts Management. Salfiti is a member of Business and Professional Women – Amman

Yaser Hijjawi , Jordan Country Manager - Tribal fusion

Yaser Hijjawi is Jordan Country Manager of Tribal fusion, the world's 3rd Largest Network. With many years of experience in advertising sales, Yaser is now a well known digital advertising sales specialist. He has previously worked as an Account Manager for Tejari.com, and Account Director for  Jordan Business Magazine and Sales Manager for Net Advantage’s office in Jordan. Yaser holds a BS in Finance and Banking from Yarmouk University in Jordan.

Alexander McNabb , Group Account Director - Spot On Public Relations

Alexander McNabb is group account director at Spot On Public Relations, based in Dubai with responsibility for client services, counsel, management and the profitability of the firm's client account teams across the region. He has worked with information technology, media and communications in the Middle East for over 20 years, a career that brought him to the Gulf for the first time in 1986.
As a co-founder, editor and then publishing director of the Middle East's leading technology media house (ITP Ltd), Alexander launched more than 20 publications over a ten-year period and was editor and publisher of leading regional titles such as Arabian Computer News and Comms MEA. He subsequently launched several market-leading publications in the Middle East children's and lifestyle media markets, including Living in the Gulf for Spinneys.
Alexander is a well-known commentator on marketing, communications and social media issues as well as emerging technology and online communications trends and is a regular contributor to radio, television, print and web-based media. He's an experienced presenter and public speaker as well as conference moderator, MC and workshop leader. A columnist for Campaign Middle East, Alexander also writes for online media such as Arabianbusiness.com as well as The Spot On Blog and his own blog.
 

Mohamad Haj Hasan, Co-Founder - Jawaker.com

Mohamad Haj Hasan is the co-founder of Jawaker.com and Akhtaboot.com. After graduating from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, he joined Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein in New York, where he worked as a Financial Analyst in the Mergers & Acquisitions department. Before co-founding the online recruitment site Akhtaboot (www.akhtaboot.com) in late 2006, he was the Vice President at Rasmala Investments, a regional Asset Management firm based in Dubai. While working at Akhtaboot, Mohammad has also co-founded the card gaming site Jawaker (www.jawaker.com).

Candide Kirk, Co-founder & CTO - Quirkat

Candide is a co-founder and CTO of Quirkat; a video games development company in the Middle East. Candide has a proven record of leading development teams in the production of regionally relevant game products. Being half-Jordanian, her in-depth knowledge of the region’s culture, language and demographics have enabled her to tap into game storylines catered for the region.
 

Muhannad Ebwini, CEO - Gate2play

Muhannad Ebwini is the co-founder and CEO of Gate2play. Muhannad has over 11years of experience in the online, gaming and payment industries, having successfully grown the business of OneCard, a leading regional alternative payment mechanism. During his tenure at OneCard, Muhannad has spearheaded the development of the online payment and eCommerce industry in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), working successfully with international and regional players.Prior to joining OneCard, Muhannad worked at Maktoob, the leading regional portal recently acquired by Yahoo! as Business Development Manager of Mazad Maktoob, an online auction service that later morphed into Souq.com. Prior to Maktoob, he held sales and marketing management positions at eSolution, a local web development company in Amman, Jordan.Muhannad is a certified eCommerce Consultant “CEC” and Project Manager eBusiness (PME), and holds an MBA in Management and International Business from NYIT and a Bsc in Computer Software Engineering from Princess Sumayya University in Amman, Jordan.He is a Co-founder and Board member for Jordan Gaming Task Force, on the Advisory Board of Dubai World Games Expo, the largest regional gaming exhibition, and on the gaming and media committee of the King Abdulla initiatives for Arabic Content in KSA.   
 

M Shaharyar Umar, Marketing Director - Pan Arab Research Center (PARC)

M Shaharyar Umar is the marketing director of Pan Arab Research Center (PARC) in the UAE, and looks after the marketing of syndicated and adhoc research services. Columnist of a leading English marketing journal in GCC, he has published more than 50 articles on consumer’s insights and media analysis in various media titles of the region.
With techno-management background of Chemical Engineering and MBA from world’s renowned University, AMU, he started his career as a software engineer. Then he joined a reputable research agency of the region, Parc and has been working since past 10 years in the same organization.
Shaharyar Umar is representative of GlobalTGI, UK for middle east (TGI is world’s largest single source survey and is conducted in more than 60 markets) and has contributed to the development of TGI and extended surveys like TGI Net, TGI Sports and TGI Banking in the region.   

Racha Mourtada, Research Associate - Dubai School of Government

Racha Mourtada is a Research Associate with the Governance and Innovation Program at the Dubai School of Government, where she studies the impact of ICT on societal and government transformation in the Arab world. She has an M.A. in Communication Policy Studies (with distinction) from City University and a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University. Her research currently focuses on social media, ‘Gov 2.0’ and ICT and innovation.

Ms. Mourtada has previously worked as a Researcher in the ICT division of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia in Beirut, where she managed ‘ICT for development’ projects, organized international conferences and contributed to writing several UN reports and publications. She has also worked as a freelance writer and editor with several magazines and websites including OpenDemocracy.net and Sublime International.

Omar Koudsi, Co-Founder - Jeeran.com

Omar Koudsi, co-founder of Jeeran.com, has an economics degree from Brigham Young University (Utah, USA), but it hasn’t stop him from getting heavily involved with the online world when it became mainstream in the U.S in the late nineties. At the age of 20 and after experimenting with several models online and witnessing the rise and fall of several Internet giants, Omar and his friends launched Jeeran in 2000 during university.
He returned to Jordan a year after and worked at the family’s software development company and established the first Network Security Center in the region.  In 2003, Jeeran started showing a lot of promise; Omar decided to work on it full time believing in the potential even though it had yet to start making revenue at the time.
Omar currently spends most of his time leading the growth of Jeeran by filling in many shoes; typical of many entrepreneurs working on their startup.  
He also enjoys participating in programs such as Injaz Leadership which teaches university students about leadership and taking initiative. In weekends (most of them!), he is fully booked for his wife and two kids.
 

Ahmad Humeid, CEO & Founder - Syntax

Ahmad started his first design studio in 1991 while studying architecture at the University of Jordan. In the 1990s he led design and technology efforts at various pioneering publishing, consulting and web ventures in the Middle East.

His Amman-based company, SYNTAX, is a branding, design and innovation firm. SYNTAX was one of the first interactive design firms in the region, with its core team starting to develop web sites as early as 1995. Delivering branded experiences across media and platforms, SYNTAX continues to be recognized as a leading web innovator today.

In 2010 SYNTAX conceptualized, branded and designed Wamda.com, the regional entrepreneurship platformed that was conceived by Abraaj Capital.

Ahmad is married to Architect/designer Salua Qidan who is SYNTAX’s other co-founder. Together with their three boys they live in Amman, Jordan

Nour Khrais, Founder & General Manager - Maysalward

Nour Khrais, Founder and General Manager of Maysalward with over 12 years of international experience in the Online and Mobile Value Added Services. Prior to forming Maysalward, Nour worked in a multicultural environment between VAS companies in Jordan, Dubai, Egypt, Qatar and France. In Nov 2003 under a Glocalized vision, Nour Launched the first Mobile Game Development operation in the Middle East Region offering unique games targeting the Middle East, Europe and Latin American Markets. Maysalward first games were Middle East card games, multi-platform and online games and spread as far as international markets such as Mexico. His passion for Games and mobile entertainment enforced with strong a business vision and management in mobile value added services, guarantee the success and uniqueness of product and services production. He has lectured and sat on several conference panels on gaming throughout the years. Nour has a Master in International Business, Global Marketing and Internationalization, Diploma in Mobile Telecommunication and BSc of Agriculture Engineering. Nour is the Chairman of Jordan Gaming Task Force (www.gamingtaskforce.com)

George Akra, Co-founder - TootCorp.

George Akra is the co-founder of TootCorp., a company that owns several portals including Ikbis and Zoofs. After receiving his LLM from the University of Leicester, George worked on an incubator and technology park project at Birzeit University. He then co-founded a VoIP startup before co-founding TootCorp. George has steered TootCorp’s operations since its inception, and is responsible for overseeing operations, sales and business development.

Christos Solomi is the Head of Affiliate Sales. With 9 years of media experience, Christos has developed an extensive background in Digital Performance and Affiliate Marketing. The digital media experience has been acquired through his past working experiences, that included companies like AOL, EA Games and Valueclick.

Rajiv Singh, General Manager - Tribal Fusion MEA

Rajiv Singh has ten years of Digital Sales / Marketing Experience. He worked as the Director of Digital Business at Khaleejtimes Online. Rajiv also worked for the government of Dubai on promoting the Dubai Quality Awards through the use of social media. Furthermore, Rajiv has  launched the International Herald Tribune Middle East edition from Dubai. He is an enthusiastic Digital veteran who combines online experience with passion to help scale and operate new Digital ventures.  Tribal Fusion has operations in Dubai Jordan, Dubai, Jeddah, Riyadh, and Egypt .

Nina Mufleh , Director & Co-founder - The Online Project

Nina Mufleh is a communication specialist who is focused on moving companies and organizations onto the digital space to connect with and engage their consumers. Nina is the co-founder and Director of Client Strategy at The Online Project where she has developed social strategies for Fortune 500 companies and high profile organizations operating in the Middle East and North Africa.    
By the age of 26, Nina already had extensive experience in the social media space having developed and executed the social media strategy for Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan who was the first royal to actively engage a global audience in such a direct dialogue. Nina assumed primary responsibility of one of the most innovative uses of communication technology at the time.  
With a passion for teaching the nuances and benefits of social media, Nina is actively involved in the Mentorship Network of Oasis500, the Middle East’s premier seed investment program, where she assists startups and entrepreneurs in tapping into the potential of social media utilization for their businesses.  
Nina earned her bachelors degree from the University of California, Riverside where she studied Political Science and Italian Studies.
 

Amjad Tadros, Founder and CEO - ShooFeeTV

Amjad Tadros is the visionary behind the ShooFeeTV business and heads its day-to-day operations. He has successfully founded and managed a variety of businesses ranging from advertising and marketing communications, to security and logistics. He also works as the point person in the Middle East for CBS News, managing the network's coverage and operations in the region since 1990. In 1997, he was awarded an Emmy in Investigative Journalism.
Amjad holds an honors degree in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College of Science and Technology at the University of London.
 

Wael Attili, Co-founder & CEO - Kharabeesh Network

Wael is an architect by training, an avid blogger, a young entrepreneur, and a passionate storyteller. He started working with Arabia.com in 1997 when he was still a student at the Jordan University. He later continued his career in information design, user experience, branding and innovation, until he finally started Kharabeesh in 2008. Kharabeesh is now considered one of the fastest growing entertainment networks serving Arab internet users around the world. Kharabeesh started as a small storytelling house for the new Arab generation, aiming to place Arab entertainment on the web map. His hobby turned into a career that resulted in a large profile of productions recounting stories stemming out of his society to reflect its daily realties.
 

Samer Abdin, Co-founder - Istikana

Samer Abdin is the co-founder of Istikana, a web based VOD platform offering premium Arab TV programming.
Samer graduated from University College London with a BSc in Astrophysics in 1999, after which he traded financial derivatives for 5 years. After completing his MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management in 2007, he moved to Dubai to work as a strategy and early growth specialist with the Boston Consulting Group. Prior to co-founding Istikana, Samer was active in several start-ups including being on the board of Dwight Cavendish Systems, specialising in media content copy protection as well several projects during his time at MIT.

Lauris Lietavietis , Audience Research Product Manager - Gemius SA

Lauris Lietavietis holds the position of Audience Research Product Manager in Gemius SA. Lauris is responsible for Audience Research product development in the Baltics, Russia, Ukraine and several other Eastern European markets. Prior to joining Audience Research department of Gemius, Lauris started and for 2 years was leading the branch of Gemius in Latvia as Operations Manager and for 3 years he worked as the Head of Sales for the biggest news portal in the Baltics and Latvia – Delfi.lv. Before starting work in online business, Lauris was working in marketing, both, on the client as well as agency side. Lauris holds BSc degree in Economics and Business from Stockholm School of Economics in Riga and Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Latvia.

Brendon Ogilvy, VP. Digital Insights (Global) - Effective Measure

Brendon has over 14 years of experience working in the market research industry. Over the last 10 years, Brendon has shifted his focus entirely towards online research and is now a well-known pioneering figure in this field.
Brendon is a former research director at YouGovSiraj and research analyst at Emirates Airline.
 

Hussam Khoury, Director of Sales - ikoo

Hussam Khoury is the Director of Sales at Ikoo Media, the largest online advertising network in Middle East and North Africa. Prior to joining Ikoo, Hussam worked at Source Interlink Media (SIM) and in the automotive sector. While at SIM Hussam lead the automotive classifieds sales team. Hussam has a proven record of delivering substantial revenue growth at high-profile companies. A strong project manager with major strengths in guiding diverse teams of interactive business professionals, producing top revenue results and strategic business partnerships.

Wassim Mneimneh, Senior Online Manager - Nielsen Online

Wassim Mneimneh is the Business Development & Client Servicing Manager for Nielsen Online in the Middle East and Pakistan region. His responsibilities include providing local support for the implementation of Nielsen Online’s wide portfolio of innovative online measurement and analysis solutions including Market Intelligence, SiteCensus, Video Analytics and BuzzMetrics, among others.
Wassim works closely with brands, agencies and publishers to ensure they are provided with solutions that help them understand, measure and respond to online consumers, and suit their business and operational needs. His role incorporates training as well as the development of relationships with clients - acting as the local point of contact for regional, local, and multinational businesses operating in the Middle East.
With a strong media planning background, Wassim is able to understand varying needs across the industry spectrum. Wassim holds a BS in Marketing from the Lebanese American University and is a gaming wiz, tech junkie and enjoys comics.

Firas Steitiyeh, Products Manager - The Online Project

Firas Steitiyeh is the perfect example of someone who has turned his hobby into his career. Although he has graduated with a business degree, his experience on the internet has guided him through his life and career. Now the Social Media Outreach Manager of The Online Project, he first experienced the world of ‘online’ at 13 years old. After that, it was a whirlwind of mIRC, ICQ, Freetel, Hi5, MySpace, Facebook and Twitter. This tech expert has just about done it all – he’s worked in marketing for telecom companies, he’s been a product manager as well as handled a lot of product design, marketing and PR at ShooFeeTV, before settling in at The Online Project. In his spare time, should the rare occasion occur, he also does freelance blog consulting and enjoys regularly writing on his own blog. As the Social Media Outreach Manager, Firas is very excited about the social media explosion and is eager to be a part of the revolution.
 

Fayez Abu Awad, EVP MEA - Boost Communications

A pioneer of mobile marketing and advertising in MEA. Having sold his first Internet banner campaign early in 1996, in what is arguably the first such sale in MEA, Fayez came back to pioneer the sale of media on mobile Internet property as well as mobile campaign design and planning.
He is a telecoms veteran who took charge of building the mobile advertising market for Nokia in the Middle East and Africa. He conceived, sold and managed interactive mobile advertising campaigns in the Levant, the GCC, Iran, Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Nigeria, Benin, Togo, Angola, Kenya, South Africa and others. He also served as Nokia's Essential Insight manager For the Middle East and Africa, as part of the strategy process and insights team.
He currently leads Boost Communications operations in the Middle East & Africa. Fayez is very passionate about the success of Arabic language in the digital world and is also an entrepreneur currently developing solutions to enable equal participation in Web 3.0.
 

Afif Toukan, CEO - Wizards Productions

Afif Toukan is the CEO of Wizards Productions, a leading producer and distributor of social games in the region. Previously, he established and was the senior manager of Maktoob Mobile Services, the mobile arm of Maktoob Group.
With ten years of experience in the telecommunications, TV integration and gaming industries, Afif has specialized in creating and building services and content that caters for mobile, TV and internet users. Having the ability to fuse different entertainment elements together, Afif ventured into the field of social gaming by establishing Wizards Productions and taking towards being one of the leaders of this industry in the region.

 

Elias Dabbas, Founder - The Media Supermarket

Elias is the founder of The Media Supermarket, an online marketing agency based in Dubai. He is certified as a Google AdWords and Google Analytics individual. He previously managed the product development and online marketing team of Maktoob.com, and supervised the establishment of the SEO function within that organization. Currently, The Media Supermarket manages the online marketing of several leading regional brands like Eurosport Arabia, anayou, anaZahra.com, and kefi.mobi. His expertise lies in developing and implementing strategies for managing the online presence of brands, with a strong focus on search marketing (paid and organic).
