Workshop One:


Digital Reputation Management and Social Media

Digital media has radically impacted the public relations and corporate communications fields, which has led to an acute need for PR professionals and communicators to understand the emerging digital channels. This workshop provides a primer on strategies for brands and organizations to utilize these digital (social) media channels, tools to monitor activity,  responding to feedback and what you need to institute a digital reputation management function within your organization.

Workshop Two:


Online Media Campaign Strategy and Buying

Understand the basics of creating a successful online media campaign, utilizing a variety of options such as premium portals, advertising networks, social media and search advertising. Topics covered include online audience targeting and segmentation, costs and pricing models of online media, communications options (banners, mailshots, newsletters, sponsorships... etc), social media advertising and basic search engine marketing (SEM) training. Completing the workshop will be information regarding online media monitoring, which is a necessary component for planning campaigns and measuring performance.

Alexander McNabb, Group Account Director - Spot On Public Relations

Alexander McNabb is group account director at Spot On Public Relations, based in Dubai with responsibility for client services, counsel, management and the profitability of the firm's client account teams across the region. He has worked with information technology, media and communications in the Middle East for over 20 years, a career that brought him to the Gulf for the first time in 1986.
As a co-founder, editor and then publishing director of the Middle East's leading technology media house (ITP Ltd), Alexander launched more than 20 publications over a ten-year period and was editor and publisher of leading regional titles such as Arabian Computer News and Comms MEA. He subsequently launched several market-leading publications in the Middle East children's and lifestyle media markets, including Living in the Gulf for Spinneys.
Alexander is a well-known commentator on marketing, communications and social media issues as well as emerging technology and online communications trends and is a regular contributor to radio, television, print and web-based media. He's an experienced presenter and public speaker as well as conference moderator, MC and workshop leader. A columnist for Campaign Middle East, Alexander also writes for online media such as as well as The Spot On Blog and his own blog.

Ziad Rahhal, Head of Regional Advertising Sales - Yahoo! Maktoob

Ziad Rahhal, currently heading Yahoo’s regional advertising sales team, is well known in the region’s digital arena for over 6 years. With a background in print media, Ziad launched his online career with and moved to Yahoo! Middle East when it entered the market in 2009. Therefore, he stands out as one of the few digital professionals who has experience in both online and offline advertising.
Having serviced clients and agencies throughout the Middle East, Ziad has been instrumental in educating and implementing award-winning online strategies and activations for numerous sectors; building a good rapport with his clients and fellow industry professionals.
Ziad is always looking for the next big idea to push the online advertising industry forward.


Hussam Khoury, Director of Sales - ikoo

Hussam Khoury is the Director of Sales at Ikoo Media, the largest online advertising network in Middle East and North Africa. Prior to joining Ikoo, Hussam worked at Source Interlink Media (SIM) and in the automotive sector. While at SIM Hussam lead the automotive classifieds sales team. Hussam has a proven record of delivering substantial revenue growth at high-profile companies. A strong project manager with major strengths in guiding diverse teams of interactive business professionals, producing top revenue results and strategic business partnerships.

Maciej Mikołajczak, International Business Development Manager - Ipsos Gemius

Gemius SA since July 2007, when he started his work in the company as Brand Manager for the gemiusHeatMap study (a research tool for immediate measurement and presentation of all clicks made by internet users on a website).
Since the beginning of 2009, he holds the position of International Business Development Manager, being responsible for Gemius’ development in Hungary and the Middle East. Furthermore, one of his duties is the supervision of several research projects, including gemiusStream (online video measurement) and gemiusShopmonitor (e-commerce measurement).

Omar Al-Shoubaki, E-Marketing Manager - Imagine for IT Services

Omar holds an MBA of international business specializing in Electronic Integrated Marketing and Communication (e-IMC). He has more than 6 years of e-marketing, marketing strategies and operation experience in addition to being Google AdWords certified.
Omar’s diversified experience began with Orange Jordan (Marketing intelligence), Jordan Petroleum Refinery (Marketing analyst), Jordan Dubai Energy-Dubai Holding (Marketing Manager), and now manages the e-marketing strategies and initiatives at Imagine Technologies, one of the leading e-marketing and technology houses that handle major client accounts in the region such as Jordan Tourism Board, Aramex, Jordan Dubai Energy, Royal Jordanian, Emirates, BMI among others; having planned and managed campaigns worth millions of US dollars annually.


Laith Momani, Head of Sales - Yahoo!

Before joining Yahoo! Earlier this year, Laith has worked in several companies with focus on Digital Marketing as a specialty; he had headed the Digital unit at Wunderman Amman during which he had successfully built a set up for a smooth digital business operation in the agency. While in Wunderman, Laith had managed the digital marketing operation for a number of prestigious brands and clients such as Orange, AIG, Jordan River Foundation, and Alrai Online Portal.
Laith holds a BS Degree in Internet Systems with Minor in Business from HULT International Business School in London, UK and has over six years of solid experience in Digital Marketing in the Middle East.
